White Christmas 2009 - http://weather.speedshifter.us/etc/white-xmas-2009.mht

Wed., Dec. 23rd
High Temperature 74° at 1:47P
… and then things started dropping … and the rain started just before midnight

Thurs., Dec 24th
High Temperature 53° at 12:00A
Temps just kept dropping. Had about .61” of rain overnight and into mid-morning.
Right around noon precipitation became both rain and snow for a bit before changing all over to snow. Officially went 32° at 1:40P. Winds gusted above 15 MPH the rest of the day
Snow fell all afternoon but hit really hard in two waves – first around 1:45P and the second around 4:30P – all with gusty winds blowing it around and causing some small drifting.
Snow stopped around 7P but the winds continued into the late evening. Skies cleared around 9P
Approximating 3½-4” of snow on the ground in the backyard.
At midnight it was 26° with snow cover – officially a white Christmas!

Fri., Dec 25th
Low Temperature 24° at 3:10A
That’s a 50 degree drop in temperature in 36 hours, and don’t forget the almost 4” of snow also!
Temps reached freezing at 11A but the snow had started to melt as the sun hit it.
High Temperature 39° at 2:38P. Streets were 90% clear with just a few icy spots mostly in shaded areas.

The snow hung around for another couple of days as the highs never got out of the mid 40s and lows were in the mid to upper 20s the rest of the weekend. Skies were sunny to mostly clear the rest of the weekend.
